Blossom Buckethat *crochet pattern*

MATERIALS:
- Clover Soft Touch Crochet Hooks
- Patchwork Scissors
- yarn needle
- white worsted weight yarn (or sport weight doubled up)
- sport weight yarn for the daisy flowers in your choice of colors
MEASUREMENTS:
- This bucket hat will fit an average size adult head.
- To make a smaller hat, reduce the number of rounds on the top of the hat. To make a larger hat, increase the number of rounds on the top of the hat
- 8.5” from top of hat to bottom of brim when laying flat
- top of hat diameter is 6″
BUCKETHAT INSTRUCTIONS:
- With worsted weight white yarn, start with a magic circle.
- Round 1: Ch 2, 10 hdc in the magic circle. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 2: 2 hdc in each st around. (20 hdc)
- Round 3: Ch 2, 2 hdc in the first st, 1 hdc in the next, *2 hdc in the next, 1 hdc in the next,* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 4: Ch 2, 2 hdc in the first st, 1 hdc in the next 2 sts, *2 hdc in the next, 1 hdc in the next 2 sts,* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 5: Ch 2, 2 hdc in the first st, 1 hdc in the next 3 sts, *2 hdc in the next, 1 hdc in the next 3 sts,* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 6: Ch 2, 2 hdc in the first st, 1 hdc in the next 4 sts, *2 hdc in the next, 1 hdc in the next 4 sts,* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 7: Ch 2, 2 hdc in the first st, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts, *2 hdc in the next, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts,* repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- The crown of the hat should measure 6” at this point
- Round 8: Ch 4, 1 hdc in the next st, *ch 2, sk 1, 1 hdc in the next st,* repeat to the last 2 sts, ch 2, sk 2, join with a sl st to the second ch of the beginning ch 4.
- Round 9: Ch 4, 1 hdc in the next hdc, *ch 1, 1 hdc in the next hdc, ch 2, 1 hdc in the next hdc,* repeat around ending with a ch 2, sl st to the 2nd ch of the beginning ch 4.
- Round 10: Ch 3, 1 hdc in the next hdc, *ch 1, 1 hdc in the next hdc,* repeat around ending with a ch 1, sl st to the second ch of the beginning ch 3.
- Round 11-20: Ch 3, 1 hdc in the next hdc, *ch 1, 1 hdc in the next hdc,* repeat around ending with a ch 1, sl st to the second ch of the beginning ch 3.
- Round 21: Ch 2, 1 hdc in the same st, *4 hdc in the next ch 1 sp, 3 hdc in the next ch 1 sp,* repeat from * around, join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 22: Ch 2, 1 hdc in the same st, 1 hdc in each of the next 9 sts, 2 hdc in the next st, 1 hdc in the next 10 sts, *2 hdc in the next st, 1 hdc in the next 10 sts,* repeat from * around, join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 23: Ch 2, 1 hdc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc. Finish off, weave in ends.
DAISY FLOWER INSTRUCTIONS (make 6):
- Each flower should measure roughly 3.5” inches in diameter.
- With sport weight yarn, flower center color, and 3.5 mm crochet hook, start with a magic circle.
- Round 1: 7 sc in the magic circle. Pull ring tight to close. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (7 sc)
- Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (14 sc)
- Finish off flower center color and join petal color in the same st.
- *Ch 7, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hdc in the next ch, 1 dc in each of the next 4 chs, sl st into the next st on the center of the flower.* Repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the base of the first petal. Finish off.
ASSEMBLY:
- Sew all six daisies onto the hat using your yarn needle and daisy petal color.
